# 🧪 List Fleet Insurance Signals

GET https://api.catenatelematics.com/v2/intelligence/insurance/fleet-signals

Retrieve underwriting signals per fleet reference for your accessible fleets over a requested time window. Each row carries safety event counts (speeding, harsh cornering, harsh braking) summed across the fleet's vehicles, hours-of-service violations summed across the fleet's drivers, the distance those vehicles traveled, resolved display names for the fleet's Catena identifiers, and the number of vehicles behind each. A vehicle reachable through more than one fleet reference is reported under each, so rows can overlap and totals across rows may exceed your actual vehicle count. `hos_violation_count` is null when your agreement does not grant the scopes needed to compute it for every connection behind the reference — a reference spanning more than one connection is null even if only one of them is missing those scopes, rather than reporting a partial count. The window cannot exceed 90 days.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Query parameters

- `fleet_ids` (list of string, optional, nullable) — Limit results to specific fleets using Catena's fleet IDs. *For your own fleet identifiers, use `fleet_refs` instead* To specify multiple values, repeat the parameter for each value (e.g., `?fleet_ids=id1&fleet_ids=id2`).
- `fleet_refs` (list of string, optional, nullable) — Limit results to specific fleets using your organization's fleet reference identifiers. To specify multiple values, repeat the parameter for each value (e.g., `?fleet_refs=ref1&fleet_refs=ref2`).
- `connection_id` (string, optional, nullable) — Limit results to a specific provider connection. This is the UUID assigned by Catena when your fleet connects to a TSP.
- `from_datetime` (datetime, optional) — Return only records that occurred on or after this date and time. **Format:** ISO 8601 (UTC) **Applies filter:** `occurred_at >= from_datetime` **Default value:** `now() - 1 day` **Restriction:** `to_datetime - from_datetime` cannot exceed 90 days
- `to_datetime` (datetime, optional) — Return only records that occurred before this date and time. **Format:** ISO 8601 (UTC) **Applies filter:** `occurred_at < to_datetime` **Default value:** `now()` **Restriction:** `to_datetime - from_datetime` cannot exceed 90 days
- `cursor` (string, optional, nullable) — Cursor for the next page
- `size` (integer, optional, default: 300) — Page size

## Types

### FleetInsuranceSignalsRead

Underwriting signals for a single fleet reference over the requested time window.

- `fleet_ref` (string, required) — Your assigned reference ID for this fleet. Fleets with no reference assigned are not reported at this grain — use the vehicle endpoint for those.
- `fleet_ids` (list of string, required) — Catena fleet identifiers that share this reference.
- `vehicle_count` (integer, required) — Number of distinct vehicles behind these counts. A vehicle reachable through more than one reference is reported under each, so totals across rows can exceed your actual vehicle count; compare this field to tell whether two rows overlap.
- `vehicles_with_distance_count` (integer, required) — Number of vehicles that contributed to `distance_traveled_meters`.
- `speeding_event_count` (integer, required) — Speeding events reported for this fleet's vehicles in the window.
- `harsh_turn_count` (integer, required) — Harsh cornering events recorded for this fleet's vehicles in the window.
- `harsh_brake_count` (integer, required) — Harsh braking events recorded for this fleet's vehicles in the window.
- `total_safety_event_count` (integer, required) — Total number of safety events of any kind reported for this fleet's vehicles in the window, including types not broken out above (e.g. collisions, hard acceleration).
- `fleet_names` (list of string, optional) — Display names resolved for the Catena fleets in `fleet_ids`. Fleets with no resolved name are omitted, so this list can be shorter than `fleet_ids`.
- `hos_violation_count` (integer, optional, nullable) — Number of hours-of-service violations recorded against this fleet's drivers in the window, summed across every violation category and every driver behind this reference. Null when your agreement does not grant the `user` and `hos_violation` scopes needed to compute it for every connection behind this reference — distinct from a measured zero. A reference spanning more than one connection reports null here even if only one of them is missing those scopes, rather than a partial count.
- `distance_traveled_meters` (integer, optional, nullable) — Distance traveled in meters over the window, summed across the fleet's vehicles. Each vehicle contributes the difference between its first and last odometer readings inside the window; vehicles with no usable reading contribute nothing and are excluded from `vehicles_with_distance_count`. Null when no vehicle in the fleet had a usable reading.

### ValidationErrorDetail

- `path` (string, required)
- `input` (string, required)
- `message` (string, required)
- `error_type` (string, required)

### RetryAfterDetail

- `retry_after_seconds` (integer, required)
- `message` (string, required)
